Barry Henderson - Barry grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and as the son of a Baptist minister he was introduced early on to the sound of gospel and church music. With groups such as Wendy Bagwell and the Sunlighters and the LeFevres providing the music on a Sunday afternoon, Barry quickly developed an appreciation of words and the power they hold lyrically. In the 70’s Barry moved to Augusta to study medicine and it was here that he wrote his first song “You Don’t Know Yet.” A few years later whilst reunited with his childhood piano, his musical interest progressed and he began writing songs and composing music. This interest was furthered after hanging out backstage with Billy Roberts – songwriter of “Hey, Joe” – as well as listening to Billy’s personal rendition of “Hey, Joe” in his living room. Having no real formal training, Barry is self-taught and composes using guitar and the piano, jotting down lyrical ideas whenever the words come to him. With influences as diverse as Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffett and Leonard Cohen, he produces a sound mainly echoing country and rockabilly, with occasional moments of rhythm and blues. Barry has spent time recording at the Wild Bean Studio in Macon, Georgia. Macon is an area rich in musical history and once home to Otis Reading, Randy Crawford and members of R.E.M., not forgetting the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Working alongside the studio’s producer Michael “Goose” Goodrich, whose previous sessions have included James Brown and more recently Big Mike and the Booty Papas, Barry has been able to put together a collection of great tracks with backing vocals provided by Machelle and Phil Palma, with Phil on guitar, Tony Cooper on keyboards, Danny Lassiter on drums and Goose on bass. Currently working on some new material, Barry hopes to gain a publishing deal and promote his skills as a songwriter. His new work includes both upbeat songs and ballads, several of which are intended for female singers. With such emotive storytelling present in the songs, Barry looks set to turn his music into a commercial success. (N.Moody 2009) - To listen please click here

Badly Mixed Bastard – This incredible band's main man is called ‘Charlie Mixed’. His sound is Killing Joke/Cramps/B52’s/Metallica/Rocket From The Crypt/Zappa….mixed with a pervy sense of fear and funniness. Charlie is a multi instrumentalist and sings like a girl when doing bv’s. This upper class British posho believes guitars are the future of all mankind and often drinks tea round old ladies houses to tell them so. He also thinks he was born in the 1900’s, but he wasn’t.
Currently producing the ‘The Popes’ new record. He plays bass guitar with folk siren Lisa Knapp, writes library music for Sony/BMG and has another release out under the name ‘Charlie Synphonia’ – a mixed bag of leftfield electronica.
The Popes - The Popes were formed in 1993 by Shane MacGowan, after he was sacked from the Pogues. They developed a blend of Irish folk and punk sometimes referred to as Paddy beat. The Popes recorded one studio album, Holloway Boulevard, one live album, Release The Beast, one EP, Are You Looking At Me?, and several singles as a solo group.
